TRAVEL AND HARDSTAND

This is our preferred way to make a booking.  If you have difficulty with computer processes or access to the internet, ask someone else to help but be present as you are required to read and acknowledge your acceptance of the terms and conditions. Please contact the Club office for further support.

When you have successfully submitted your booking, you will receive an acknowledgement email. Our yard manager also receives an email. The manager will consider other bookings and cradle availability then contact you to confirm. Priority will be given to club members.

Please note for all bookings you will need to include the following;

•      Your preferred dates - these are a guide and will be dependent on availability of cradle. High winds may also limit travel lift use and will be at the discretion of the travel lift operator for Health & Safety reasons.  We understand there maybe unavoidable reasons for delaying the vessel haul out or return to water and the dates are for planning purposes only.
•      Current insurance policy number and expiry date.  
•      EWOF and current electrical safety tag on power cables for any vessel left plugged into the power. 
•      Scope of work outline is required to help with suitable cradle allocation and ensure your booking can be accommodated. There are a limited number of long term cradles on site. For bookings expecting to be longer than 3 months on the hard stand a wait list may operate if demand exceeds availability. This will be managed by the Yard Manager and the Rear Commodore (Yard). 
•      All power cables for tools need to have current test and tag for use on site. These will be checked by the yard manager, 

     Vessels needing to be sand blasted or similar will need to be positioned in accessible cradles and suitably wrapped for the process. Vessel owner and and contractors will need to provide plans of how they will contain waste and ensure they meet environmental regulations. These activities will require a "Permit to Work" to be signed off by Rear Commodore (Yard) and Yard Manager to ensure compliance. 

      Vessels need hotwork/welding/use of gas axe will also require a "Permit to Work" signed off by the Rear Commodore (Yard) or Yard manager.

      All members engaging others to work on vessels will need to provide copies of the contactors H&S plan, 3rd party Insurance and public liability to the office prior to starting work.

      Contractors must sign in at the office daily as a H&S requirement

     Yard work hours 07.30 am to dusk.

Invoices will be sent monthly or on return to the water/loading to transport as appropriate.

The club reserves the right to request pre-payment for some services at the discretion of the finance sub committee.

Any invoices for yard services that remain unpaid 3 months after due date will incur interest at 5% per month until settled. Invoices outstanding after 4 months will be referred to the Finance sub-committee for action that may include suspending membership rights as per club rules.

When a Travel Lift booking is confirmed, you will be sent an email confirming the date/time etc of your booking. To change a booking click the button below to email the yard manager.

1. Vessel owners have a responsibility to provide guidance assistance to the travel lift operator while their vessel is in the travel lift.
2. When you make a booking, a description of the work to be done will need to be included with approximate date of return to water.
   
3. Work that involves creating debris that can become airborne or fall under the vessel needs to be contained to ensure compliance with Environmental Protection agency rules. Disposable ground sheets maybe required. This is an environmental requirement as much as a common curtesy not to foul adjacent vehicles and vessels.  We will be applying greater focus with stop work notices issued for non-compliance and cost recovery charges to owners for any clean up required.
4. Some vessel repairs may require complete wrapping and commercially compliant scaffold. Please discuss with yard manager when making a booking to ensure you are placed in a suitably accessible cradle.
5. Vessel owners are expected to clean up under their vessels before they are returned to the water.  Debris left behind will incur an additional charge for the time it takes to clean up.
6. Yacht owners have a duty to ensure furlers and any other sails are well secured while the vessel is on the yard.
7. Worksafe require certified ladders only for vessel access. Please ensure your ladder is safely secured and meets Work Safe requirements.
